- Fake Identd. No, this isn't the one that had a security bug, but it isn't very good, either. It happens to be (mostly) the identd that I use when I have to use an identd, but that doesn't mean that I like it. Alan Cox convinced me that identd is useful, just not in the way that most people use it. I have yet to evaluate any of the apparently useful identds out there, so I continue to use my own. fidentd Version 0.03.2
- rpasswd, which can be used to generate random passwords. At this point, I don't use this very much, but it still works. Instead, I use Solar Designer's passwdqc, which also generates random passwords for you... rpasswd Version 0.1
- ketchup, This is the ketchup program, a program that extracts the new (appended) lines from a file. The intent for this program is to spit out the chunks of log files that occurred after the previous invocation of the program. ketchup Version 0.06
